Demo Derby
Demo Derby is a 2-Player Vs. destruction game. Players are offered an array of vehicles which have different stats which effect gameplay. Each payer has dynamic damage displaying which areas of the vehicle have been struck. Damage to each player is determined by the speed at which one car hit the other, with the aggressor sustaining less damage from the impact.

Process:

The process used for creating Demo Derby came from a great amount of play testing. We would have player test the various different interactions between the cars and the elements that would be in the environment to see how they reacted in various situations.
Originally, the area which the players would drive on was going to be a flat plane with ramps, barrels, and cones to drive into. Watching play testers, we say that players would drive around the same area and crash to each other until one eventuality destroyed the other.

With this in mind we went back to the drawing board. After some indentations, we decided on using Unity Terrain for the arena. With this, we saw players more involved with driving around the arena.
